Sanshou has 4 categories of techniques
techniques and tactics applied to the clinch
SANDA is different from SANSHOU because only 3 of the 4 categories are permitted. In SANDA it is not allowed to use NA, but you can use TI, DA y SHUAI.
People who like sport fighting will enjoy the wide range a techniques that can adapt itselves to each person, big or small, man or woman.
Practicioners of Gongfu and Taiji often have very confused ideas about how to apply their gongfu to selfdefense sometimes resulting in overestimating their own ability or look down on gongfu.
If your practice of Gongfu is limited to form or you are not interested in forms but would like to spar, or if you cannot see the conection between your tradicional forms and fighting, come try Sanshou.
It is not necesary to have practiced traditional gongfu but if you want to know where the concepts, tactics and technique we use come from, we recommend yoy try at least a couple of our other classes.
A Video of Wim De Meere shows some techniques that you can expect in our classes.
